A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide services within a school setting in the Shiprock, NM area. This role involves delivering telehealth services to two students, both seven years old, requiring 30 minutes of direct therapy per week each. The total commitment is approximately 1-2 hours weekly, including indirect time to support therapy planning and documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to student needs
- Conducting telehealth sessions focusing on developing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills
- Collaborating with educators and families to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress
- Participating in virtual meetings and case discussions as required
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure with eligibility to practice in New Mexico
- Experience delivering telehealth occupational therapy services, preferably in a school-based environment
- Strong knowledge of pediatric OT interventions and educational accommodations
