Make a positive impact supporting students across multiple schools as a contract Occupational Therapist, based near Toms River, NJ. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload covering the full K-12 age range, providing essential services to help students reach their highest potential. Full-time hours are set, with Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:50–3:40, and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30–2:20. The contract runs until January 2027, with a possible extension.
Qualifications:
- Current New Jersey Occupational Therapy license
- Valid New Jersey Department of Education certification
- Experience working in both school and pediatric environments
- Demonstrated skills in occupational therapy within school, home health, and healthcare settings
- Ability to work efficiently across multiple school sites
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs across multiple district schools
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs and district protocols
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Conduct assessments, maintain records and document progress in accordance with state and district standards
- Support students’ engagement, participation, and independence in classroom and school activities
