What you bring:
- Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license, or COTA licensure (CT DPH, NBCOT certification)
- Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to manage a district-wide caseload
- Prior school-based OT/COTA experience strongly preferred
- Effective collaboration skills to partner with educators and multidisciplinary teams
- Reliable transportation for district-wide travel
- Flexibility and commitment to a maternity leave assignment, with the understanding that extensions are possible but not guaranteed
Your responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students of varying ages and needs across the district
- Evaluate students, create and implement treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with education professionals, families, and administrators
- Support students in meeting individual education goals through direct and consultative therapy
- For COTAs, carry out interventions under the supervision of an OT as required
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
