School Occupational Therapist | Trussville, Alabama

Two contract positions are available for skilled Occupational Therapists to make a significant difference from ASAP through June 10. You’ll provide essential services to a caseload of 50-60 students across four schools, all within onsite settings—virtual services are not accepted.
Working in collaboration with educational teams, you’ll deliver both individual and small group therapies, with some push-in support to classrooms. Service frequency is determined by each student’s IEP—ranging from weekly to monthly 30-minute sessions. The consistent schedule runs from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm, ensuring your expertise fits seamlessly into the school day.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and current OT license/certification for Alabama (proof required)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to develop and adapt treatment plans based on IEP requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and ongoing assessment of student needs
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions
- Document progress and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Consult with teachers and families to reinforce carryover of skills
- Foster a supportive, inclusive relationship with students
