Occupational Therapist School Setting in Vernon Rockville, CT

This contract position offers a flexible 2-3 day per week schedule, with services specifically needed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and one additional weekday. You’ll collaborate district-wide, providing essential OT services that foster growth and independence among diverse student populations.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting
- Demonstrated ability to serve a range of age groups, including early childhood and young adult transition programs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for students with varying abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based occupational therapy sessions according to students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other service providers
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to inform intervention planning
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state requirements
- Travel between district facilities as needed
