Occupational Therapist School Setting - Vinton, VA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license valid in the state
- Previous experience in pediatric or school settings strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of supporting students with a range of physical, developmental, and sensory needs
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with teachers, families, and school staff
- Organizational ability to manage varying caseloads and age groups
- Passion for facilitating student independence, participation, and success within the classroom setting
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine strengths, needs, and appropriate OT interventions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students from ages 2–15, primarily elementary-aged
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to support academic and functional outcomes
- Maintain timely documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and professional standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent consultations, and ongoing educational team planning as needed
