Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with eligibility or current certification in the state
- Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with district and federal guidelines for documentation and practice
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine students’ needs and write targeted intervention plans
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Engage in regular collaboration with teaching staff, families, and related service providers
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate staff and caregivers on techniques that promote student independence
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that supports all learners
This is a contract-to-hire role offering the stability of 8-hour workdays with a balanced work-life rhythm. You’ll benefit from a two-week winter vacation around Christmas and enjoy all designated district holidays and work days off.
