Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Active state licensure in Occupational Therapy
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and experience contributing to 504/IEP meetings
- Excellent communication skills for working with faculty, students, and families
- Ability to organize caseload, prioritize tasks, and work independently
- Strong collaborative attitude and commitment to fostering inclusive environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students with a wide range of abilities
- Assess student needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Support goal setting and intervention planning in coordination with teachers and parents
- Document progress and adapt interventions to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise to IEP planning
- Provide staff and parent education regarding strategies to support students’ motor and sensory needs
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication regarding student progress
