Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a diverse student population across multiple school sites
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams
- Document and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to maximize success
- Support students with a wide range of educational and therapeutic needs, ensuring their participation in school activities
- For COTAs: Work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, adhering to all state and district guidelines
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license (COTA candidates with current CT license/certification and NBCOT exam completion will be considered)
- Prefer prior school-based experience, but open to passionate professionals eager to transition into the school setting
- Comfortable working with students of all ages and a range of disabilities
- Reliable transportation is essential due to district-wide responsibilities
This position is structured as a full-time, approximately 7–7.5 hour daily schedule. While the contract initially covers a set leave period, the potential for continued placement is strong. Please only consider this role if you are fully committed to a maternity leave assignment and understand that contract extensions, though likely, cannot be guaranteed at the start.
