Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current California licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience in school-based OT preferred, especially with diverse student populations
- Strong knowledge of IEP process, goal setting, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt interventions for students from early childhood through high school
- Team-oriented attitude with flexibility and a passion for helping students thrive
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in a variety of classroom and small group settings
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and developing student-centered goals
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Maintain diligent records, document progress, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment as needed
