Provide essential support to students as a full-time Occupational Therapist in an engaging K-12 setting for the 2026/2027 academic year. This flexible contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated therapist seeking to enhance students’ development and independence, while collaborating with a passionate special education team.
As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll deliver tailored interventions to help students succeed across academic, social, and daily living activities. You will assess student needs, develop individualized plans, monitor progress, and adapt strategies to foster growth in a supportive school environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in educational settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to design and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and required documentation efficiently
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for supporting diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students referred by educational teams
- Develop, implement, and update individualized therapy plans aligned with students’ goals
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with established guidelines
- Track and document student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to progress reports, and collaborate with staff and families
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices
