Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid California OT license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Commitment to fostering positive growth for students with varying abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-help strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including teachers, families, and support staff—to coordinate interventions and adapt classroom environments
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students receiving occupational therapy
- Document student progress and maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Conduct assessments and create strategies tailored to meet each student’s unique needs
- Educate and support school staff and families with training or resources as appropriate
