Preferred Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Familiarity with assessments, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and student documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff
- Reliable transportation for travel to different schools within Montgomery County
- Ability to work independently and organize a full-time caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to students’ diverse needs, including direct therapy, consultation, and evaluation
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor students’ IEP goals
- Conduct thorough assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop strategies that ensure students’ access to curriculum and school participation
- Adapt and modify classroom materials and activities as required to facilitate student success
- Attend relevant meetings and provide training or guidance to school personnel regarding OT practices
