Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a skilled Occupational Therapist on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. Serve a diverse population of PreK–12th grade students, working collaboratively to deliver essential therapy services that make a lasting impact. This role begins August 4, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license
- Experience in school-based OT, home health, or healthcare settings highly valued
- Strong background in developing and implementing therapy plans in educational environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Compassionate and adaptable approach to a variety of student needs
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine OT eligibility and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapy sessions for caseloads typically around 45–50 students, spanning PreK through 12th grade
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain thorough records
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on student supports
- Educate school staff and families on best practices and assistive strategies to maximize student participation
- Stay current with best practices and compliance standards in school OT services
