School Occupational Therapist | West Hartford, Connecticut

From late August until the end of November, you will work a consistent 35-hour week, ensuring your expertise reaches learners across a welcoming district.
Your mission will be to foster student growth and confidence, collaborating with teachers and staff to deliver the highest quality occupational therapy services district-wide. Your ability to adapt and communicate effectively will ensure that each student receives personalized attention, unlocking their full potential.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist license in Connecticut (CT OT License required)
- Experience in school-based OT settings strongly preferred
- Ability to navigate and travel between multiple sites within a district
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse needs and backgrounds
- Commitment to maintaining accurate records and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as part of their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess, plan, and implement interventions, adapting strategies to promote student participation in academic and daily living activities
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to support inclusive educational environments
- Travel between assigned schools to provide services district-wide
- Maintain robust, timely documentation in compliance with legal and educational standards
