Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in Illinois
- Experience in a school-based OT setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Prior teletherapy (voco) OT experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted occupational therapy services to students, supporting their educational goals and independence
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to address student challenges and maximize progress
- Deliver both direct and consultative therapy, depending on student needs and service model
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation for all therapy services provided
- Utilize effective virtual tools and platforms, if working in a voco (teletherapy) capacity
