Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for a school-based opportunity in the Detroit area. This position is based at one K–12 center program and primarily supports students with cognitive impairments. You’ll also work alongside additional OTs onsite, providing a collaborative and supportive therapy environment.
Position Details
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- One K–12 center-based program
- Primarily supporting students with cognitive impairments
- Additional Occupational Therapists available onsite for support
- On-site position
- Interviews available immediately
Responsibilities
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K–12 students
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Support students with functional, motor, sensory, and school-based needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other related-service professionals
- Participate in IEPs and maintain accurate therapy documentation
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license
- School-based or pediatric OT experience preferred
- Comfortable working with K–12 students with cognitive impairments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
