Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Massachusetts is required.
- Previous experience in a school-based environment preferred, but new graduates with passion and initiative are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Positive, adaptable mindset for working in a fast-paced and supportive educational setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Assist students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills as part of their educational goals.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to share progress and provide strategies for student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for students on caseload (to be discussed in detail during the interview).
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to student support planning.
