Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience in either healthcare or school settings (school-based experience preferred)
- Eligible for licensure and compliance with state and district credentialing requirements
- Familiarity with IEP systems; training on district-specific platforms provided
- Ability to work independently, with oversight provided by district supervisors in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ individualized needs
- Travel between assigned schools (itinerant role with paid travel)
- Attend and participate in team meetings and administrative planning time
- Maintain timely, accurate therapy documentation within the district’s electronic IEP system
- Receive ongoing training and professional development
