Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active COTA license in the state of New Mexico (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- At least one year of experience in school-based pediatric occupational therapy preferred
- Proficient in adapting OT techniques for both younger elementary and older high school students
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable traveling between school buildings as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions to students from PreK through 12th grade
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in the educational environment
- Work closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and school staff to promote student independence and participation
- Assist in evaluations, documentation, and progress monitoring to ensure effective therapy outcomes
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages student growth at all ability levels
