Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience or strong interest in working within a school setting
- Familiarity with diverse K-12 populations and adapting support to a range of student needs
- Ability to collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and educational staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid licensure in the state of Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OT
- Support students in achieving their IEP goals related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily school participation
- Assist in developing and delivering individualized or group interventions tailored to student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and session activities
- Communicate effectively with families, teachers, and the therapy team to promote student success
- Contribute to the school community in a positive, professional manner
