School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Colorado Springs, Colorado

Based near Colorado Springs, this full-time position (37.5 hours per week) starts as soon as possible and extends through May 2027, providing you with stability and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.
Leverage your expertise to foster students’ independence and participation in their daily school routines. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with licensed Occupational Therapists, educators, and families to implement evidence-based interventions tailored to students’ unique needs in both individual and group settings.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Active Colorado license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience working in pediatrics or school-based settings preferred
- Exceptional communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to efficiently manage an itinerant caseload with varying ages and needs
- Commitment to culturally sensitive, inclusive practice
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out treatment plans created by supervising Occupational Therapists
- Delivering direct therapy services to students in classrooms and therapy spaces
- Documenting progress, tracking outcomes, and contributing to student IEPs
- Encouraging student engagement and participation in school activities
- Supporting teachers and staff with strategies for accommodations and adaptations
- Traveling between school sites as needed
The pay range for this position is $35.87 to $38.62 per hour, based on experience.
