Ideal candidates will demonstrate an enthusiasm for helping children and adolescents reach their full potential, strong communication skills with students and staff, and flexibility in managing a diverse caseload. The position offers a scheduled 37.5 hours per week, and compensation will be $35.87 to $38.62 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt communication style for different age groups
- Understanding and application of best practices for supporting students with varying occupational therapy needs
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Occupational Therapists in implementing therapy plans for students ages 5–18
- Provide direct and consultative services to meet a variety of developmental and educational needs
- Document treatment sessions and progress notes in accordance with school guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success in both academic and functional contexts
- Maintain ongoing communication with supervising OTs and participate in IEP meetings as required
