School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Conifer, Colorado

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide school-based therapy services for students in one of several scenic mountain communities. Depending on availability, locations may include Georgetown, Idaho Springs, Evergreen, or Black Hawk, CO, with an estimated schedule of 8-15 hours per week (1-2 days).
Qualifications:
- Active COTA or OT license in Colorado
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and goal development
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to travel to one of the designated locations as needed
- Recent graduates welcome to apply if they have relevant pediatric or school experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services for students, in alignment with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to determine students’ needs and monitor progress
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans to support students’ educational and functional goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure integrated support and carryover strategies
- Document and report on student progress, maintaining compliance with school and state requirements
