- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials, with current state license
- Experience in a school-based setting, particularly with grades 6-12, preferred
- Strong organizational skills to manage a full-time, multi-site caseload
- Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working with supportive faculty and staff
- Comfort working with students on a military base
- Ability to provide services for students with mild to moderate challenges
- Effective communication skills with students, families, and teaching teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized and group occupational therapy interventions as directed by supervising Occupational Therapist
- Travel between three schools to deliver on-site therapy services, ensuring consistency of care and documentation
- Support students in achieving educational and functional goals within special education plans
- Consult with educators and families to share strategies, progress updates, and recommendations
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance with school and state requirements
- Foster a positive and inclusive therapy environment that empowers students to succeed academically and socially
