Qualifications:
- Valid COTA certification for the state of Massachusetts (COTA MA)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of elementary-age development and needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational ability with a flexible, positive attitude
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students as prescribed in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Implement treatment plans developed by licensed occupational therapists
- Support classroom teachers in adapting activities and materials for student access
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate on student care, and communicate findings to the educational team
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages student independence and growth
