We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide coverage during a maternity leave from approximately February 16th, 2027, through May 14th, 2027. In this full-time position, you’ll collaborate closely with an Occupational Therapist and deliver direct treatment to students within welcoming school communities.
Your daily schedule includes working with 9–10 students—each typically seen for thirty-minute sessions—allowing you to make meaningful connections and impact their school experience. Each day brings a balance of engagement, professional growth, and the chance to be an essential part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina COTA license required
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatrics strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with OTs, students, and school staff
- Ability to manage a rotating caseload across multiple school sites
- Commitment to providing individualized, student-focused care
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering direct occupational therapy services to elementary students
- Implementing treatment plans under the supervision of an OT
- Documenting session progress and collaborating on student goals
- Traveling between select elementary schools as assigned
- Helping students achieve greater independence and success in their school routine
