School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Glendale, California
Make a difference in students’ lives by providing essential occupational therapy support in an elementary school environment. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 13, 2026, through June 9, 2027, supporting a dedicated elementary caseload. The position is onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and offers the chance to develop your skills as you collaborate with a dynamic educational team.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous school-based experience required
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Comfort working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficient in delivering interventions and documentation within an educational setting
- Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview process
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions in alignment with IEP goals
- Work closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and parents to foster student progress
- Document sessions and maintain accurate records per school and legal requirements
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills necessary for classroom success
- Adapt therapeutic activities and materials to meet individual student needs
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding occupational therapy best practices
- Attend staff meetings and collaborate on caseload planning as needed
