You'll support a diverse elementary-aged caseload onsite, collaborating with educators, families, and therapists to foster student success and independence. With a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00AM-3:30PM, you’ll enjoy stability while contributing to an engaging educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering direct occupational therapy services to elementary students in accordance with IEP goals
- Implement treatment plans and document student progress
- Support lesson modifications and classroom strategies to enhance student participation
- Work closely with staff, parents, and the lead Occupational Therapist to promote generalization of skills
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to district protocols
