Key Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Washington
- Experience working with children or in educational settings is highly valued
- Ability to implement individualized therapy activities under the supervision of an OTR/L
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and families
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the occupational therapist in delivering therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Carry out targeted interventions and activities outlined in students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress, reporting observations to the supervising therapist
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support students’ learning and functional independence
- Contribute to adaptive equipment recommendations and modifications as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports each learner’s confidence and skills
