A dynamic contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide essential support during a maternity leave coverage. This position spans multiple elementary schools in the Greenville, SC area for the spring semester, from mid-February through mid-May 2027. You'll collaborate closely with one of the district occupational therapists, making a meaningful impact on students' daily development.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in South Carolina is required.
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly desired.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills vital for working with students, staff, and families.
- The ability to adapt and organize in a multi-school environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to an average of 9-10 students per day, in mostly 30-minute sessions, as scheduled at assigned schools.
- Implement and document therapy interventions under the supervision of the district occupational therapist.
- Support students in achieving individualized educational and developmental goals.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to the supervising OT and educational teams.
- Travel between the designated school locations as scheduled.
This full-time contract spans approximately 37.5 hours per week, offering variety and hands-on experience in multiple educational environments. You'll play a pivotal role in connecting students with the therapeutic supports needed to thrive.
