Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Illinois COTA licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings, ideally early childhood
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to early childhood students as prescribed in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with supervising Occupational Therapist, classroom teachers, and families to support student progress
- Contribute to IEP meetings, providing insightful input regarding student needs and progress
- Document treatment sessions, progress, and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal guidelines
- Adapt strategies and interventions to individual student needs within the classroom and school community
