Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Illinois COTA licensure or ability to obtain
- Experience working with early childhood or school-based populations preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to early childhood students as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to support students’ functional abilities in the school setting
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist in the development of goals and strategies
- Offer consultation and support to staff and families regarding students’ needs
- Adapt and implement therapeutic activities to promote skill development and participation
