Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Harpers Ferry, WV

You’ll work closely with a caseload of approximately 35 elementary students, helping them achieve their goals and develop essential skills for success in and out of the classroom. Collaboration with teachers, school staff, and the supervising Occupational Therapist will be a key part of your daily routine.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid COTA certification and licensure required for practice
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage positively with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage caseload efficiently
- Enthusiasm for working with elementary-aged children and supporting their educational journey
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assist with assessments, document progress, and collaborate in IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt activities and classroom tasks to promote student participation and independence
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to school district policies and procedures
- Support the OT in implementing therapy plans and providing a positive, inclusive learning environment
