Qualifications:
- Current, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of California
- Demonstrated experience supporting students within a school setting
- Ability to adjust and thrive across a range of school sites and grade levels (K-12)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, students, and families
- Adaptability and organizational skills to manage caseloads across multiple locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress and maintain clear records in accordance with school and legal guidelines
- Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to maximize student engagement and success
- Support and empower students in acquiring key functional and academic skills in both group and one-on-one settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing therapy planning
