School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Los Angeles, California

As a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll work onsite with an engaged elementary caseload during the academic year. Your expertise and dedication will help students thrive, fostering independence and confidence within the school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active COTA license in California
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is required
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy practices within elementary education
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work onsite from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions per IEP goals under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and other service providers to support students’ needs and educational goals
- Assess students and assist in developing effective treatment plans that promote participation in classroom activities
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Support students in building fine motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills within the classroom
This contract position runs from August 13, 2026, through June 9, 2027, offering the opportunity to be a vital member of the educational community throughout the school year. The assignment takes place at a welcoming elementary campus in Santa Monica, CA, with one immediate opening.
