What we’re looking for:
- Valid California license as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
- Experience supporting occupational therapy services in a school setting, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans developed by Occupational Therapists and effectively work with teachers, families, and other school staff
- Dedication to fostering growth, independence, and functional skills for students
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the implementation of individualized and group occupational therapy interventions for students with varying needs
- Supporting students in developing motor skills, sensory regulation, and tools for classroom participation
- Documenting student progress and responses to therapy, maintaining accurate and timely records as required by school and district policies
- Collaborating closely with Occupational Therapists, educators, and other professional staff to address IEP goals and support student inclusion
- Promoting a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment for all students
