Qualifications:
- Active Michigan OT or COTA license (verification required with your submission)
- Prior experience working in school settings
- Comfortable supporting students with a wide range of disabilities
- Ability to work safely and compassionately in onsite school environments
- Collaborative mindset, strong communication, and creative problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic activities to enhance students’ daily living, fine motor, and academic participation skills
- Document interventions, progress notes, and communication with staff and families in a timely manner
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff
- Support classroom staff with training, recommendations, and adaptations to promote student success
- Maintain compliance with school, district, and state regulations for therapy services
This full-time role consists of 35 hours per week during the school year, running from late August 2026 through mid-June 2027.
