Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in New York, NY

As part of a dedicated team, you'll support young children in a nurturing educational environment, providing both individual and group therapy sessions. The classrooms are thoughtfully staffed, featuring a special education teacher and a 1:1 teacher’s assistant for every child, ensuring collaborative support and optimal student growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with current credentials
- Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy, especially Early Intervention
- Familiarity with both individual and group therapy models
- Ability to build rapport with young children, educators, and families
- Adaptability and eagerness to grow alongside the program
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to Early Intervention caseloads
- Collaborate with special education teachers, assistants, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to team meetings as needed
- Gradually increase hours and responsibilities in alignment with caseload growth
This position offers a 12-month schedule, allowing for consistent professional development and continuity with students.
