Qualifications and Experience:
- Active COTA license in Kansas
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of therapy documentation and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to travel to various campuses within the district each week
- Skilled in collaborating with OTs, teachers, and staff
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist OTs with implementing therapy plans and interventions
- Work onsite across different campuses as assigned
- Support students in developing and enhancing motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
- Take part in IEP meetings and maintain appropriate records
- Provide feedback and progress updates to supervising therapists
- Help create an inclusive, supportive environment for all learners
This role begins ASAP and extends through late May 2027, giving you the chance to truly get to know your students and colleagues. Each week brings the variety of working with new faces and teams across the district, while always having the backing of knowledgeable OTs.
