Key Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Kansas COTA license issued by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
- Active NBCOT certification
- Eligibility to work in a school setting and ability to meet all Kansas school district credentialing requirements
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Support the implementation of individual treatment plans and assist in achieving IEP goals
- Help students improve fine motor, sensory, self-care, and everyday functional skills
- Maintain clear documentation of services provided and track student progress
- Collaborate thoughtfully with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes
- Contribute to the recommendation process for classroom accommodations and adaptive equipment
