Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with current, valid licensure
- Previous experience or comfort working in school-based environments is strongly preferred
- Understanding of pediatric and educational occupational therapy approaches
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and supervising OT
- Ability to work independently with the capacity to follow established treatment plans
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist the supervising OT in assessment and documentation processes
- Implement therapeutic activities that support students’ participation and growth in academic and daily living skills
- Communicate treatment progress and collaborate with faculty and families as needed
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory and school standards
