Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Valid COTA license for the state of Kansas
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but all levels of experience are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a wider therapeutic team
- Adaptable mindset to thrive in a multi-campus setting, providing support wherever needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist OTs with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy programs
- Work hands-on with students to promote functional independence and participation in school activities
- Document student progress and communicate effectively with supervising OTs and educational staff
- Travel between assigned schools throughout the week based on caseload and campus needs
- Help foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students of varying abilities
