Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.
- Support students in developing fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student success.
- Assist with screening activities and preparation of therapy materials and equipment.
- Support the development and implementation of accommodations and strategies within the educational environment.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as requested.
Are you who we're looking for?
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Ohio Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
- Current certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (or eligibility to obtain certification).
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Knowledge of pediatric development and school-based occupational therapy practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if travel between schools is required.
- Ability to travel between school locations as required.
