Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings, especially with elementary aged children
- Knowledge of implementing therapy plans and IEP goals under OT supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively with both students and staff
- Familiarity with school-based documentation and procedures
- Flexibility and professionalism in a fast-paced school environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to assigned elementary students onsite
- Collaborate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to support individualized student needs
- Assist in developing and implementing activities that foster students’ functional skills in the classroom and during other school routines
- Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district guidelines
- Communicate regularly with teachers and other support staff to ensure cohesive support for each child
- Participate in team meetings and provide constructive input for student success
