As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you’ll work closely with occupational therapists and educational teams to support student achievement and daily living skills. This is an ASAP start, running through June 2027, serving a dedicated middle school caseload.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and active COTA license for the state
- Recent school-based experience, especially with middle school students, strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with occupational therapists to implement individualized educational programs
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services aligned with IEP goals
- Monitor and document student progress
- Adapt and modify classroom materials and environment to improve access and participation
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student growth
- Maintain accurate records and uphold all compliance requirements
