School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a school-based assignment in Providence, Rhode Island. This opportunity is ideal for a pediatric therapy professional who is looking to support students with complex needs in a structured educational environment.
The selected COTA will work with a high-needs caseload, supporting students in developing functional, behavioral, and daily living skills. Safety Care training will be provided, ensuring you are fully prepared to support student needs in a safe and effective manner.
Position Details:
• Part-time schedule (3–4 days per week)
• Assignment dates: June 22, 2026 – July 2, 2027
• School-based occupational therapy setting
• High-needs, caseload
• Safety Care training provided
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team environment
• Immediate interviews available
Responsibilities:
• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in group settings
• Support development of fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills
• Assist students in achieving IEP goals and objectives
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and special education staff
Qualifications:
• Active Rhode Island COTA license required
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
