Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Ripley, MS

You’ll work closely with licensed Occupational Therapists and school staff to implement individualized care plans and create a positive, supportive atmosphere for students at varying levels of ability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active COTA licensure in the state.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children or pediatric populations preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and families.
- Proven ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
- Experience with IEP documentation and education-based therapy is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy interventions as directed by supervising Occupational Therapists.
- Assist in assessments and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Support students in building fine/gross motor and sensory processing skills for greater access to the curriculum.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings, school activities, and professional development as needed.
