Required Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current COTA certification and relevant licensure in California
- Previous experience supporting students in school environments is highly valued
- Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in daily activities
- Flexibility, positivity, and problem-solving abilities for a dynamic school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out individualized and group interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional participation
- Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom
- Track student progress and assist in documenting outcomes in accordance with district policies
- Support IEP goals and participate in team meetings as needed
- Adapt activities and environments to meet diverse student needs and promote full inclusion
