This full-time position features a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 35 hours weekly, helping students achieve their functional and educational goals. You’ll be supporting therapy goals, assisting with the implementation of treatment plans, and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings designed to enhance student outcomes.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Active COTA certification and current license or eligibility to obtain one in the state
- Prior experience in school settings or working with middle school-aged children preferred
- Strong collaborative skills with teachers, therapists, and other school staff
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to student-centered care and ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out occupational therapy activities as directed by the supervising OT
- Supporting students with daily living, motor, and sensory processing skills needed to succeed in school
- Documenting progress and communicating student needs to the team
- Assisting with the integration of therapy strategies into classroom routines
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student progress reports
